My Story

Hi my name is Vanessa Savage & I am the founder of Giddy Up Equine Experiences. In the summer of 2021 I took over all the youth equine experiences at Cheekye Ranch & started my own business.

Prior to starting Giddy Up Equine Experiences I took Developmental Service Worker Course & I was working as an Education Assistant in Squamish for 6 years. I have a wealth of experience with kids from in the schools to being an Au Pair to coaching.

I grew up around my grandpa's horse at a young age in Ontario which set fire for my passion with horses and the equine world.

Prior to moving to BC, I volunteered for a therapeutic riding facility. To date I have volunteered at Second Chance Cheekye Ranch for 4 years and in June 2020 I adopted my beloved rescue Avalon! People have said I am patient and caring and I always make the safety and well-being of kids and horses a priority.

I am now leasing a barn in Pemberton, BC. I am sad to leave my students, some have been with me since I started, but I am excited to meet some more amazing kids in Pemberton!
